I am currently applying to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and have completed all portions of the application except for the short essay section. One of the essay questions reads: "Explain what will determine which CES [Church Educational System] school you will attend. Please be specific (250 words maximum)".

I am at a loss for words to answer this question because I am only applying to BYU Provo, and none of the other CES schools (BYU Idaho, BYU Hawaii, or LDSBC). It is important to me to attend BYU to be surrounded by others of my faith, but if I were rejected by BYU Provo, I would most likely rather attend some other college than attend BYU Idaho. I feel that BYU Idaho is not very highly esteemed in comparison and that it would benefit me more college education-wise to attend some other school altogether if not accepted to BYU Provo.

The problem is, I don't know how to write the essay because I don't want it to seem like attending a school that is affiliated with my faith is not important to me. I also don't want it to sound like I am insulting the other schools of the Church Educational System.

I need some advice for this essay. What do you think I should say?
