<p>I don't see Cambridge and Oxford University being mentioned very much on these boards. Are people simply not interested in going to the UK? Are the requirements to get into these similar to the requirements of the ivy leagues? or do they put more value on test scores and grades than ECs or something?</p>
<p>Just trying to get a feel for what I'd need to get into Oxford or Cambridge.</p>

<p>Oxford and Cambridge put more emphasis on academics and no emphasis on extracurricular activities. If your grades make the first cut, you are invited to take an internal admission test (in some subjects, anyway) and you are interviewed by an expert in your field (an academic interview, not the small-talk interviews American universities conduct).</p>
<p>We do occasionally have threads about UK universities. However, CollegeConfidential caters mostly to an American audience. The UK counterpart to this forum is The Student Room (google it; CC won’t let me post a link).</p>
