Applying to CAS ED Like anyone has a chance anyway?

<p>Since I'm well on my way to being an obsessive compulsive senior, I figured that the standard way to do this wuld be a chances thread.</p>

Rank: School doesn't rank, I'm probably in the top 10 percent.
Gpa: Uw:3.5-3.6 /4.0 W: 4.47/5
AP Euro 5 Took 3 APs this year, prob 5 in Chemistry and US History and a 4 in Calc taking 5 APs next year, toughest course load etc.
SAT: 700 CR 780 M 750 W
SAT II: 800 Math II C 800 US History 740 Chemistry
EC: These are including what I believe will happen my senior year
Varsity Football 2 year starter, Captain
Varsity Basketball 3 years, 2 year Starter, Captain 2 Time All Conference
Letter Club, a club for athletes to do community service Vice President this year, hopefully president next year.
Student Council, executive member, we have 7 "executive members" instead of president or vice president.
Science Olympiad: 5th in region in chemistry
Music: All-County Mallet Percussion, 98 on NYSSMA All-state (which sucked)
50 Hours community service at hospital
Worked as a tutor of a 6th grader with learning disabilities</p>

<p>Hook: Besides the fact that i'm 6'5, is legacy</p>

<p>So, I think I've prob got a 50 50 chance. Any other opinions?</p>

<p>Yeah, I'd say you have a good chance if you apply ED. Maybe about 60% accept / 40% defer. I wouldn't be too shocked by either. Good luck though!</p>

<p>You're UW GPA is very low, but legacy status and ED are best friends, so you have a good chance.</p>

<p>yeah, ED + Legacy should do alot to defray your bad GPA, EC's are not very original but they are still very solid.</p>
