Applying to Colleges As Class of 2019 Early Graduation

I am very aware of the credits, scores, and EC’s. I am taking the SAT and ACT over again and I am taking online classes over the summer to ensure I will exceed even 24 credit requirements. Since I am leaving junior year and graduating in June 2019 (as in: no senior year), I will need to apply to colleges during my junior year. Do you all have any advice for me in regards to the dates of my application/ how I will go about applying as a junior? Thanks!!!

Pretend you’re a junior now, and a senior next year, because for all intents and purposes, that’s the case. Your PSAT that counts for NM is the one you took this year, for instance.

There’s nothing particularly special you need to do.

Dates for applications will vary by college. You can check their websites to find out what each college requires. Naviance also has this information summed up if your school uses it. Talk to your guidance counselor. Your GC needs to know what you doing and can provide you more information.

I don’t believe anyone said you’re trying to grow up too fast. They said you may have difficulty getting accepted to colleges with a 1070 SAT and low GPA.

If you plan to graduate in 2019, you need to send your apps in this fall. How much are your parents willing/able to pay? I don’t think you’ll qualify for much merit, so run each college’s Net Price Calculator to get a cost estimate.

Not all colleges accept online credits, so make sure you investigate the requirements of every college you hope to attend. What’s your guidance counselor saying? They’ll have to provide transcripts and a letter for your application, so make sure you talk to them. They’ll be able to tell you if your online classes will count toward your diploma too. The 24-credits needed to graduate are likely spread across many subjects, so pay close attention to what subjects you’re missing.

I’m wondering if something like Clarkson’s early college program would be worth exploring? Can’t remember what your intended major is but if it’s STEM, you may want to give them a look. As others have said, if you are planning on graduating a year early, move up the college application time line by a year.

update: if any of you are gonna read my stats don’t look at this post

nvm…
