hi guys, i have some few questions for you,i just want to ask about the essays . i am about to take the SAT in November 2016, and i haven’t yet written the essays that i should send to colleges .i really don’t know what to write about, in each essay , in order to have a formal and convenient dissertation . i want to add that i’m running out of time, so ,could you please advise me about how can i organize my time to get a good score in the SAT test ?? thank youu .
How can you be running out of time? it is only August and applications have not opened yet. The applications will have the prompts regarding what to write about.
ok but i wanted to add that the last period to pass the SAT is january 21,2017 , and i’m planning to get a good score (1500 or 1600),i’m asking whether i can achieve it within the next 3 mounths (i work one SAT test each day ).then ,if you could , please, give me a list of good universities in the US that provides scholarship for international students ,it would be very helpful to me .Thank you for responding me .
@best&true we can’t really answer that since we don’t know your educational background. If you have a good understanding of English/reading and math, then a 1500 should be attainable. But you should take a practice test to see where you’re at. Also, good luck finding an SAT exam each day, as there aren’t a whole lot of good revised SAT practice tests (to my knowledge at least).
I suggest checking the “International Students” subforum as this has been discussed frequently.
A 1500 is EXTREMELY rare and difficult to achieve - 98% statistically never make it. You have to prepare using a book that will explain how it works - understanding the format is essential, and, if you’ve never or rarely taken a multiple choice standardized test, getting used to how it differs from the tests ou’rr used to, and the habits ou’ve developed in order to be successful. I wouldn’t wait till November to get a first score - see if you can take the test in October and December.
If you take the test in October, you’ll have test results on time to apply to merit scholarships guaranteed foebthese results, or for which you’re competitive.
See if you will need to take subject tests - because those are more content based and don’t play 'tricks’the way the sat does, they allow you to show mastery in the subjects you’re good at. Because you can’t take both subject tests and sat the same months, you need to plan well in advance.
