Can I apply to Columbia College ED and then apply to Fu/Seas regular decision if I don't get in?
Which school do I have a better chance in getting in for early decision?
Do people from Fu/Seas often go on to med school?

No, you can only apply to one college.
Question 2, I won’t answer, because they are vastly different schools with much different focuses. An applicant who likes Columbia College would not apply to SEAS, and vice-versa, most likely. And you can’t transfer easily between the two schools. Do more research and decide if you would rather focus on engineering, or a more “liberal arts” education.
I can’t answer number 2, as I am not sure.

okay this is a really bad and naive question ali. sounds like your concern is not columbia specific it is about getting into a top school, if it were you would be a bit less naive in your question and realize that each school is different not just in composition, but also in what it means to be admitted. further this is a question has been answered on here many times.

though educationally the schools are different - at each school there is a good cohort that does just about everything, though students in Fu tend to be more sci related and yes go on to medical school. but cu at both schools is not very strict or limiting in any way forcing students into one or another box. i know students at cc who went on to get engineering graduate degrees, for instance.

and to the substance of your first question - you are only allowed to apply to one school and at one application deadline. the only way you can compete in both application cycles is if you are deferred, and if deferred your original application and the original school choice would be considered.
