Applying to ivy league schools with A levels...HELP!

Well heres the situation for those of you who dont know about A levels. We (the people in unitedkingdom) have 3 national level examinations GCSEs, AS levels and A2 levels (AS+A2=A levels). Now here are my GCSEs AAAAAAAABBB
My AS levels are AABB (with A rather than A* the highest grade for AS levels and the A* is introduced in the A2 level). Im yet to do my A2 levels.
Now firstly i cant have a 'rank' as such in my class as everyone does completely different subjects. However, per subject i can tell you my rank.
Maths: top 3 percent (very high A)
Physics:top 8-9 percent (A)
Chemistry:top 15-20 percent (B)
Economics: top 25-30 percent (B)
My sat 1 scores are as follows:
Maths: 770
English reading:720
English writing: 740
Im going to do Sat 2 in Maths 2 and Physics in December.
Now for extra curriculur shizz (im applying engineering btw):
An international public speaking competition
Engineering Scheme where i had to work with a company for 6 months and had to write up a pretty hench report.

House prefect
Work Experience for a week at a mechanical engineering place
Young Enterprise (work with a team to come up with a product and sell it)

Amnesty International (its a charity organisation which sends postcards to people suffering injustice...i think its quite a S*it way to get a message across really but oh well)

Headstart course (where i go to university and have like a taster course about engineering at uni)

Duke of Edinburgh Gold award (where i have to be with 4 people and plan my route and have a 25 kg bag and climb mountains (including Britain's second largest mountain) for 5 days, learn some skill, work for a charity organization, do something recreational (i went to the gym to feel hench) and spend 5 days doing something productive.)

Im working on building a go-kart from a lawn mower engine with a group of people in my school.

Now Honestly my AS level grades are not enough and my chances are kinda bleak for getting into a top level uni in the UK. So looking at my good SAT score and all the other stuff. Do i have a chance at institutions like MIT or CalTech or Stanford. Sorry about the length of this question but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks yall :)

My sense is that if your A level grades are not high enough for Cambridge, Oxford, London, etc. then they are probably not high enough for MIT, Caltech and Stanford. These are three of the most competitive schools in the United States (and very likely in the world). I expect that these universities have their share of UK applicants with straight A* grades.

This said, the selection process in the Unites States is more holistic than that in the UK and strong leadership, sports, and art/music skills can turn a good application to an exceptional one – especially at Stanford.

How much do they scrutinize your SAT scores?
