I live in Philadelphia and I have applied for and gotten into classes during the summer and now during the fall (Got my PennCard and Penn email), and even way before that, my dream school has been Penn. I think Penn needs like 125 students from my school district every year so I think I will have a higher chance if I apply ED than Match. I'm almost sure I won't get in through Match, but then I realized that they won't be able to use my QB app as a supplement during ED (if I don't get rejected, I can still use it for RD) and if I apply through Match, RD will be automatically considered. I am planning to apply ED to Penn and non-binding EA to a few other schools.

I don’t think you can apply non-binding EA to other schools if you apply ED to Penn cuz ED is binding.
We have exactly the same experience with Penn! Went to the summer program and took a college class. I’m also struggling with the issue of applying through Match or not cuz my counselor said I’m almost assuredly in if I apply ED to Penn but I want to apply EA to MIT too.
Why are you sure you won’t get in through Match? I think we still have the advantage of being a Philadelphia resident even if we apply through Match. Do you mind posting your stats so that I can compare?
