<p>If you want to review, go over strategies, maybe some light testing. But if you test too hard you might burn out/wear your brain out. Unless you plan on getting wasted, I don't see anything wrong with partying the night before, as long as you know your shiznit well enough.</p>

<p>My tutor told me to just go over a few strategies, essay ideas, and some vocab tonight. I'm gonna do that, watch a movie till about 9 and then hit the sack.</p>

<p>I didnt know that about mechanical pencils, anyway i used a #2 mechanical pencil for the essay and it scanned fine, but i realized it was probably a bad idea and switched to regular for the bubbles</p>
<p>I think the mechanical penicls are more for test security than for scanning purposes. Some have clear chambers which could possibly serve as a hiding place for a vocab list or something.</p>
<p>The double scanning is good, but how will doing them a second time by machine help if the tests have expanded or something?</p>

<p>I just got back from taking the SAT on the east coast and am extremly upset. I wrote what I thjought is my best essay I have done so far on the SAT and then I did pretty good on the second verbal section. I got the first 5 on the math section right and the power goes out and they make us stop testing. It wasn't hot, it wasn't that dark but after sitting there for 45 mintues they come in and tell us it is cancelled and they will pick a date for us to take a make up.</p>
<p>I just wrote the following letter to college board regarding my above post and I am curious to see how they respond:</p>
<p>"This morning I was taking the SAT I Reasoning test at ****** High School in Florida during the test there was a power outage and you voided our tests. I am extremely upset because I wrote a very good - probably the best I have written so far on an SAT - essay and I was doing extremely well on the first and second multiple choice sections. The room was not dark, it was a little on the dim side and everyone could have easily continued taking the test. When the power first went out we were about 2 minutes into the second multiple choice section and we did continue to take the test and it was not a problem. Several minutes after the power went out Mrs. <strong><em>, the person in charge of the test at *</em></strong><em>, came in and told the proctor to have us stop testing. This was about 5 minutes into the second multiple choice section. We then sat in the room for approximately 30 minutes while Mrs. *</em>* went to call you. When she came back to our test room she informed us that you had decided to cancel the test and void what we had done so far. By doing so you have wasted my time, both the 4 hours I wasted this morning and the time I spent studying for this test. You have wasted my money, both the money I wasted on gas to drive from my home to the test center and the $41.50 that you will now have from me for an extended period of time until the make up date. This is $41.50 that you will be making interest on and I will not. Also you have cost me the money I could have made if I was able to work for these 4 hours. You have also possibly cost me a good score on my other AP tests because now I will have to study more for the SAT which will likely fall close to the AP exam time. You have also cost me the ability to pick when I will take my SAT because you will apparently be assign make up days. I will now not be able to plan anything for the next 6-8 weekends because I need to find out when the make up day will be. This is absolutely unacceptable and I request that you ameliorate this situation in some way, whether that be refunding me my money and letting me take the make up test for free, using the essay and the one multiple choice section that I completed already for the make up SAT, or otherwise. I am extremely upset and disappointed in the way the situation was handled, especially considering that you are the only company in the world that is able to give this test. As I have said before it was not necessary to cancel this test, I would have happily continued taking it without power. If others felt the power outage had affected their performance, they should have been given the option of making up the test on another day but canceling the test for everyone was not the right choice. I find that voiding the sections I had already completed is completely un-professional and I would not expect it from a company that is responsible for the futures of every high school student in the country. "</p>

I am going to send the same thing to them in the mail with this at the bottom:
"I also sent this letter to you via email but the website said that it would take 2-4 weeks for a response. I find it unacceptable it takes you 2-4 weeks to reply to an email. I hope that we will be able to communicate more efficiently in this way."</p>
