How many APs are necessary to get into GW. I have taken mostly honors classes throughout my hs career and am planning to take at least 2 APs next year but instead of taking a third AP, I rather take Honors Western Philosophy. Will this make any difference?

Take the most rigorous classes you can, but more importantly, take ones that interest you! If you'd rather take the honors class over AP, take the honors class. There's no sense in taking an AP class in a subject you don't like- it'll suck, trust me. I really don't think it'll hurt you- an honors course still shows GW that you're challenging yourself.

Ya, I agree. They also look at how mant AP classes your school offers. You need to challenge yourself and if that means taking just 2 AP classes and doing well in them, that is fine. I personally took a ton of AP classes and it is tough. Do the best that you can, but there is not set number of AP classes that you must take to gain admissions. Some schools don't even offer AP.
Good Luck

I took an AP that I had no interest in last year and I regret it SO much. Only take the AP if it interests you. Two APs+a few honors should make you a pretty strong applicant for next year unless your school offers 3459834 APs.
