AP's Just For the Sake of College Admission?

As I reiterate based on common sense and accounts…the sheer number of AP’s is really less important as the context of the environment and the overall application presented.

“Take as much as possible” may be the best option, it may not…depends on the case.

lol my ECs dont kick in until next year.
so this year is pretty much fine.
you’ve gotta downplay the hardness of APs.
read the prep book and you are basically done.
just take as much as possible. ~16-18

focus on other things in 10th-12th grade though.

I take ap/honors because I dont wanna end up with a bunch of idiots lol.
Then again, if you think u can handle the workload, take them :]

The APs themselves are not hard, and neither does taking them in mass amounts differentiate you in any significant manner for the bulks of other applicants for top colleges. Colleges in general are moving towards giving APs less and less credit and weight. The admissions offices are realizing that 14 APs in one context is less impressive than 6 in a different context. And no one really cares all that much about a 5 versus a 4 score-wise.

So take the AP’s that you know are taught by a good teacher and/or are in a subject that you would like to learn more about.

If you wanna go to those schools, then yeah take the APs
