How many APs should I take to stay competitive for Ivies and other selective schools if my high school offers around 8-9 APs ?(Some APs are even cancelled because not enough students enroll)
And I also plan to self study a few APs senior year. How do I inform colleges of this since they dont recieve your APs scores.

They don't recieve your AP scores?

Take as many APs as you can. And when you take them, you can fill in a part of the answer sheet that tells them where to send the scores.

The best idea is to take as many as you can. But! Be sure that the ones you take interest you.

My school offers five, but I'm only taking three of them. I took Cal AB last year, I'm taking Biology this year, and I plan to take Chemistry next year.

Take as many as you can (and do well in) and consider taking after school or summer school in your local community college.

Question: You don't have to send all your AP scores right? I got 5's except a 3 in world history (self-study). I don't want to send in the 3...

BUMP!!!!!! bump!!!!!!!

if you send an official score report from College Board, it will include scores for all AP exams taken. If there is a place on the app where you can optionally provide scores, you can just choose the ones you want to tell them about.

The thing at our school is AP Biology which takes up two periods. This maybe the only year it is offered but it takes two classes and i can instead take AP chemistry and AP US History. Does anyone have any advice? Which would look better? Double period AP BIo or AP Chem and AP US History?

Anyone!!!????
