APUSH Essays... I Need Help!

I just found out my teacher legitimately does not teach us how to write an FRQ or a DBQ. At ALL. Like, we’ve done a couple thesis statements but that’s it. I knew out of the two teachers that teaches APUSH in my school I got the worse one (like, I’d have to study a lot more with external resources for the exam), but I didn’t think he’d not cover something on the test at all! Obviously this does not bode well for me >.<;

I’ll be looking around online for some prompts, but I still need to learn the exact format of these things and I need anyone who’s willing to grade them for me and give me feedback. Also, any and all tips regarding the essay, or even other parts of the test; my teacher overall is kinda flaky.

Thank you in advance for any help at all!

You can find all of the prompts from the last ten REAL AP tests here:
<a href=“AP United States History Exam – AP Central | College Board”>Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board;

I would suggest brainstorming for each prompt and then coming up with a sample thesis and outline for each essay. Try to use historical categorizations (cultural, economic, political, legal etc) for organizing your body paragraphs into a coherent whole.

If you post an essay or two here I can give a quick critique. Or feel free to PM if you have more specific questions.

Best of luck.

Okay just last week he decided the next test we’re taking’s gonna be an essay… when he hasn’t taught us how to write an essay at all e.e; SMART MOVE.

TSGuru: Ahh, awesome! Yeah, I think I’ll look at the prompt and try writing a couple practice essays and put them up. Thank you! ^o^

My teacher doesn’t teach them either, in for advice.
