i'm pretty set for the APUSH tommorow except for several things
african american trends- namely slavery and voting rights/employment after the civil war
women trends- namely women's role's in american society and women in the workforce in later chapters
labor- labor unions and strikes
immigration- which immigrants came when from where, what they did, restriction laws
american indians- policies towards indians
and economics- economic problems not during the great depression

these trends appear very often and are probably the hardest questions on the test
i am set in terms of facts, but where can i find good review material for these trends?

also, which chapters should i pay particular attention to for essays?

Most of those themes occur in the Gilded Age, at the exception of women trends. If you wait for 2 more hours, I plan to compile large review notes for the Gilded age. I’ll give you the link when I am done. I’m doing this cause the Gilded Age is the most boring section of history(imho) and I’m scared there’s gonna be a DBQ question on it. My notes will be four parts: north industry, politics, south industry&society, and north society/culture.

cool
only theme i forgot is farmers
i hate the questions that are like
“farmers were unhappy for the following reasons in the 1890’s”

omg that would help me soooo much rasd765 Gilded Age is one of the topics that I don’t know at all

I hate the gilded age/ barely read over it.
would love if u can send me those notes =)

Farmers were unhappy because:

middlemen
trusts
monopolies
pools

the government fostered a pro-business policy so these people kept prospering. the farmers were angry and through organizations such as the Grange (1886, i believe?)
crop prices were falling b/c of international competition
so they overproduced, so they kept going into debt.

During the industrial revolution improved methods of farming and inventions such as John Deere’s Steel Plow and Cyrus McCormick’s mechanical reaper further increased overproduction.

corn and wheat prices fell over 50% in the 1890’s

The panics (usually related to farming were)
1819
1837
1857
1873
1893

The last two were the most severe.

thanks that was helpful

Rasd - Tu es mi amor.

now i’m just left with blacks and women =D
