Answer: (c) reality of change in the world

Which of following was true of American labor movements in late 19th century?
Answer: (e) it was involved in a number of violent strikes

Question 1: The virtue of agrarian life was the key tenet of eighteenth-century republicanism. So it follows that Jefferson and other proponents of republicanism would view widespread ownership of property a bulwark of republican government.

Question 2: The First Great Awakening most affected farmers, slaves, Baptists, and of course Puritan ministers. Urban merchants could have been affected but they would have been the LEAST likely to be affected by the First Great Awakening. The merchants in Philadelphia and Boston were far more interested in making a profit, building a business, and avoiding British mercantile policies.

Darwinism confirmed/supported belief in the reality of change.

The 1880s and 1890s witnessed a large number of labor strikes. This was especially true during the mid-1890s. Think of the Pullman and Homestead strikes.

Some explanation sounds like answer choice…
but thanks!
