omg we aren’t even done with wwii yet…

Post-Cold-War is not a big deal at all. I don’t think I’ve seen a single MC or FRQ question dealing with that period, so don’t worry about it too much.

thats awesome. If that is the case I should be fine!

The most recent FRQ I’ve seen was on containment from 1945-1975. Just for reference.

by containment you mean Communism/red scare, truman doctrine, marshall plan etc…right?

Right.

[10char]

We had the damn puritans for the DBQ last year, so maybe they’re gonna go on the other side of the spectrum this year. The FRQs were sunbelt and women, pretty obscure if you ask me. But getting a 5 isn’t hard if you use as much info as you know about the topic.

LOL @ no post cold war mc. i’ve seen quite a few and cartoons.

No post cold war stuff? Hmm, so that means I can skimp on Vietnam, Nixon, Reagan, and all those other people that I can’t remember for the life of me

@collegebound41: Hm. Well then, I wouldn’t trust me. At least not based on the practice tests we’ve gotten. Although our definitions of post-Cold-War might be different; I was going off what the person said about G.H.W. Bush.

@supergrover911: DO NOT SKIMP ON VIETNAM. Vietnam is not post-Cold-War at all, it’s right in the middle of the Cold War, and there will definitely be a number of questions on it. Nixon is included in that. For Reagan, you really only need to know about his economic policies.

How much regurgitation of Acts (or Agencies, Associations, etc) is on the exam? We’ve done very little MC practice in my class. Will it just be the big ones like the Sugar/Stamp Acts, Kansas-Nebraska Act and such, or more of the things like all of the New Deal programs or something? I assume it’s both, but I’m hoping to hear that the smaller stuff isn’t thrown on there as much as I fear it is…

do we need to know about bush senior and clinton?

Not a lot, but it couldn’t hurt to brush up.

what about bush jr and obama…i see that amsco has sections on them, but i don’t think i’ll have enough time…considering i still need to do the chapter quizzes and practice tests

My teacher said that the most recent the test will possibly get is mid-1990s and that’s pretty unlikely. 1980s is probably the furthest it’ll go.

For 1980s to the present, know some basic demographic trends and Reaganomics. That should be about it.

That link to the most recently asked MC’s posted by MethodicSquirrel was helpful. There was about 3 out of the 60 that i do not know. So i will review them.
I actually feel confident about the APUSH exam. I took the 2001 exam at school and got a 50/80 (I could do better, i know, but that was my first practice exam i took) and a 5 on my DBQ (again, i could do better) and if i get 4’s on both my FRQ’s then i could get a 4.

@SarcasmSiempre. lol, oh yeah, it is part of the cold war era. Sounds good

I’ve seen them ask about the relationship between Carter and Reagan & things about Reaganomics… but that’s about it for post-cold war

think about it tests only change thier multiple choice portions for 6% so studying past exams that were released may be your key here

i’m reading crash course…soo good
