Hey, I was just wondering about the architecture program at GT and how it measures up to some of the top colleges in architecture?
I've gotten in Auburn, GT, SCAD, and am still waiting on a decision from Pratt. I know that GT sounds like the most intelligent out of those schools, but does anyone know how well it prepares you as compared to the other schools?

I can’t tell you much about the reputation it has versus other architecture programs, but one thing I’ve noticed is that…my roommate is architecture, which seems to be a more ‘artsy’ major at a technology school, and she still has to take a TON of math courses. She is in Calculus 2 with engineering majors, right now. If you don’t like math and would rather learn about art, you may not like it here. If you just want a really respectable college degree (I don’t know about architecture), then come to GT. Also, I don’t know how it compares to other schools, but I know that the first year program at GT architecture is really strenuous – lots of hours spent in the studio. A lot of the architecture kids complain that the assignments are ridiculous, but overall I think it’s preparing them for a pretty good future, so we’ll see. Good luck!
