architecture vs civil engineer

Hello there!
Im female age 18 I’m currently second year of architecture program. and I am confused what if i like civil. I love math and physics a lot, i feel like i have creativity. I like working in office and i know that i will be sitting for long hours (i think) which i can get bored very easily. is it right?? besides i like civil the way that its responsible for maintaining the building and i am way into challenge! when i took the first year in college i had survey and construction materials which was hell for me! and the second year with civil specialty they take both with level 2, and they take geotech course… anyone took that course please help me take the right decision. Thank you so so much.

I’m an architect. Sometimes I wonder if I should have done engineering - it never even occurred to me as a possibility. I liked math and statics - physics not so much. I have always worked for small firms - from tiny (I had a boss and I was the only draftsman to up to 15 people.) From day one I have done a bit of everything - met clients, drawn existing plans, done simple engineering (if it gets complicated I call the engineer!), done design work, presented plans to zoning boards and planning board to get variances. I do mostly residential additions, but have also worked on several day care centers and a few small restaurants. One of the things I like about my work is that I am not at a desk all day. Some days I am working with clients, others I’m climbing ladders with contractors, and others I’m working at a desk.

I don’t know anything about civil engineering except that my niece majored in it at UNH and is happily employed.
