Are certain UCs more stringent than others in terms of establishing residency?

For example, is it possible to be considered "in state" at UCD or UCSD but get the big bill at UCLA and UCB?

Also, are CSU schools generally easier to establish residency with compared to UC schools?

Just something that has been bugging me. Thank you!

The residency requirement is the same for the entire CSU and UC systems. It's one year of residence in-state before the determination date of the application.

Yep, that is correct.

CalBear2009, you are a bit faster than me to answer this topic.
