Lintij you should spend less time trying to sound smart and more time not being a ******bag

He sounds like he’s having a lot of fun though. I mean, he apparently laughs out loud at every phrase he finds imperfect or just slightly amusing. What a blast he must be to be around.

“What a blast he must be to be around.”

I guess I’m enough of a blast to respond to. I’m enough of a blast to be taken way too seriously here.

No, you really are a blast. If you thought that was sarcasm then you’re just misinterpreting my tone. Look, I’m responding to you again.

“The fact that you assume logic goes a certain way, and that someone else can revise it to reach some higher truth, necessarily makes your logic faulty.”

@ lintij: I love the (what I will assume is) purposeful irony in this statement. You blatantly contradicted yourself. Now go ahead and scorn me for making an assumption.

Clever monster you are, setting up what looks a fine dinner of sarcasm, then pulling the rug out from under. I like it. Question the very definition of sarcasm. That’s what I get a kick out of.

hehe thanks

To be honest, I attack others anonymously over the internet to fill the void left by my massive shortcomings in real life.

emilsinclair9 is another clever beast. She sees the text, and the performance of the text as separate. I love it.

“You blatantly contradicted yourself”

That’s the hilarity of it. Arguing at all, let alone about anything other than the overt contradiction in my posts, means the reader has fell right into the trap. It usually means the reader, or arguer, takes themselves very seriously.

@ lintij: I had a feeling you would. hahaha.

“She sees the text, and the performance of the text as separate. I love it.”

I’ll briefly correct you by stating that I’m a male.

My mistake, I thought somewhere you corrected me when I assumed you were a boy, but I guess it was someone else, dude, man, Bro.

“I attack others anonymously over the internet to fill the void left by my massive shortcomings in real life.”

lol

“That’s the hilarity of it. Arguing at all, let alone about anything other than the overt contradiction in my posts, means the reader has fell right into the trap. It usually means the reader, or arguer, takes themselves very seriously.”

@ vintij: That’s exactly what I meant when I said “purposeful irony”. I know why you ■■■■■ on here, and I know what you mean by “the trap”. Btw I’m sure flexing the English language muscle on College Conf, per se, has really improved your writing abilties. You’re a smart guy; obviously you use this forum as your playground to continuously practice your vocabulary, applying pragmatics, and metaphysically analyzing other people’s posts.

Personally, I’ve always found you pretty funny lol.

thebigshow: "Good luck. Get good grades, pick a “real” major, and grab life by the balls! "

^ Best advice you can get.
Make the best with what you have, screw what your “friends” THINK of you. Be justified and humbled by your own choice. Don’t feel compelled to justify going to a JC. In essence, honestly, grab life by the balls.

You guys need to help me out with my writing. Being an engineering major hasn’t exactly worked wonders on my writing abilities. Now problem solving on the other hand…

^ I actually worked for a community college as an English/Writing tutor. PM me if you need anything.

^^thanks will do. pm me if you need any math, science(except bio) help. Id be glad to do so.

^ Thanks, I really appreciate that. Math is my worst subject. And, I’m told when I transfer I will need to take a major-specific statistics class. I’m dreading it.

If you keep the eye on the prize the entire two years, you are golden. But if you veer from your goal, you are screwed. I got caught up and school became a second thought and now I probably won’t be getting into my first choice which is unfortunate especially since I could have gotten into a prestigious college straight out of high school (my parents wanted to save money). Never pass on the opportunity to go the school you want just to save money.

@pinkerfloyd

5000 people for all the UC schools is not competition.

5000 for one school is. I’ve been at my CC for one year, been to the business classes and econ classes and i have not met one person who wants to major in business admin, i’ve met 2 that want to major in econ. But maybe you’re right.
