Are community colleges underrated? Did you get a community college education?

I’m in a four-year right now, but I’ve been wondering in the back of my head whether community college could’ve been the better alternative towards transitioning to college life.

I went to several community colleges before making my way to USC. While I do believe that I received a great education from my CC classes, it really didn’t prepare me for university. I struggled so much my first semester. I was used to getting A’s and I only earned one of those my first semester at USC. I believe community college has a bad reputation not because the classes are necessarily easier; rather, it’s easier to get a good grade. Extra credit opportunities were virtually non-existent at USC. And unlike CC, the slackers have pretty much been weeded out. This makes it harder to stand out. I went from being a superstar in CC to just an average student at USC.
