Are Decisions Already Made?

My tennis coach just let me know that he accidentally didn't submit his rec until yesterday (he was an optional rec, and I guess I never bothered to make sure it got through since my application was otherwise complete).

Does anybody know the timeline for when the admissions committee starts/completes RD application review? Probably too late for the rec to matter, eh?

who knows? Unless you’re in the decision room, it’s unknowable. So why worry about it?

the full committee begins at about this time. the rec might make it, but schools make it very clear that they will make decisions without an optional recommendation.

In past years, the full committee meetings met until around March 19th, so there is still time.

By considering the spring break from march 17 to 21 and two weekends, the admissions officers will be back campus on the 24th. Is 27th the day for annoucement of the results? So I’d think the decisions should be made before 14th. Correct? :bz

Most college and university administrators do not have Spring Break. They are 12-month employees, who have vacation time like office workers in other industries, but do not have the same school holiday schedule as students and faculty. There is no way a university admission office is closed for a week in mid to late March.

^^ Correct.
