Are dream schools worth the massive debt?

<p>this is not always a true statement. We found for our son it would cost more for this option because the amount of money available both in state and out of state for non-need based aid for transfering students was almost not existent. 2 years would have cost more without aid than 4 years with merit aid. </p>

<p>My point, check your numbers closely.</p>
