I find the option that I have a family friend in town who is willing to host me while I’m there. This will significantly reduce the cost to attend WashU which is quite expensive. But I know most universities require freshmen to live on campus, but I can’t find a certain answer to this question on WashU’s website. Thanks in advance!
Yes freshmen are required to live on campus. Personally I think that’s a very good thing. Your first year is the most important and it’s a huge year of transitioning into college life. Making friends and getting acclimated quickly will help you feel at home at WashU. If you live off campus it will be much harder to make friends. On campus you will meet not only your roommates but people on your floor and your RA will have all sorts of activities too. You will eat on campus all the time with others too. Living on campus your first year is a HUGE must and a really smart thing to do. You can move off sophomore year if you’d like.
