Are my chances ruined of getting into Harvard?

I'm a freshman. Can I get into Harvard or any other ivy league if I keep on improving?

I'm currently a Freshman with mediocre grades due to eye sight issues, but I just got glasses since my mom could finally afford them after receiving her tax money.

As you can tell, I really love art and helping others.

I'll switching to a harder school which I can take on since i finally have my glasses and with my glasses I understand everything. Vision was the only problem, but now it's fixed.

At that school I'll be taking all 10 AP courses.

Advanced Placement Courses: Art History, Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, Government and Politics: United States
Online Advanced Placement Courses: Psychology, Statistics, United States History

My sister was valedictorian at the best public high school in Illinois and she was waitlisted for Harvard, so it is really hard to say whether or not you will be accepted (she is currently attending Yale). If you really were to follow through with all those extracurriculars, get a perfect SAT or ACT score, and get nothing but A’s from here on out, I could see you getting into Harvard.

All A’s needed; GPA is crucial for ANY and EVERY college, as it is almost the number one looked at stat.
Next comes ECs; you’re looking moderate in that department. You’re going to want to be unique and focused though. I’d recommend that instead of spreading out your ECs all over the place, you find a focus on 1-3 subjects and stick with them until they’re stellar. For JROTC, you could try to be your school’s Cadet Commander (no clue if that’s what they actually call them, I’m in something similar, you get the drift though) or a leader of one of your honor guard units (if they have one). If they don’t, make one.

Your hook with the URM really helps; if you can really pull it off, you’ll EASILY qualify for something near full-ride with FAFSA alone at a great deal of the universities out there, and you’re practically guaranteed one at Harvard, provided you can make it in.

Tbh, probably not. Just have to focus for the rest of HS and hope for the best. Shpuld really focus on your SAT/ACT/SATII if you want a chance to get in. Also, diversify your application by adding ECs early in your HS career

Also can you afford Harvard with an income bracket below 27k?

^ There are need based aids.

Harvard and some others have become stretches for absolutely everyone, but a compelling story can help.

Cost no issue. Harvard and Princeton are now free for household income < 60.
