Are my scores going to get invalidated?

So during both of my economics exams, there was a lot of peeking at other people's papers and whispering of answers. I know for A FACT that this one girl reported it to the testing integrity whatever number, and now I'm kind of worried if my score is going to get canceled. The thing is, there were several people (6 or 8) doing it, rather than just 1 or 2, so would that make it possible for the whole room (35 ppl) to get cancelled? What do you think...oh and has this happened to anyone you know?

Yes.

10char

oh joy. this is just great.

I’ve heard of the ETS canceling not only the scores for that room, but for the entire school as well.

If they check and find the complaint valid, then yes. Otherwise you’re good :)

NewAccount is right; 1 or 2 cheaters have led to cancellation of an entire school’s scores before. Google “trabuco hills high school cheating”; this happened to this school a couple of years ago.

wow… i would be so mad if some idiots got my AP scores canceled even if i personally did nothing wrong

Lol wow so if someone purposely cheats they can screw everyone up?

^Yep, basically.

Who’s the genius who equated punishing the whole for misdeeds of one ******* who’s not going to care if his score is invalidated, anyways?

well for the trabuco hills incident the 690 exams that were invalidated were allowed to be retaken in August so worst comes to worst you will have to take the exams over but that might actually give you a higher score. so that will give a 1.5 months after the school year is over to study before retaking those exams

The folks from ETS Testing Integrity will investigate. They won’t invalidate scores beyond the evidence they have. In the case of Trabuco Hills, almost all of the tests were administered improperly, so the students were offered the opportunity to retest. It was the school that violated procedure in this case, not the students.

Anyone who is suspected of varying from procedure (cheating) is offered either a refund or an opportunity for a retest. At no point will anyone be accused of cheating. The official statement to the student will indicate that ETS is unable to provide a valid score for this exam.

BTW, in many cases a copying case can be supported by the statistical similarity of MC answer patterns. If you didn’t copy, you have nothing to worry about.
