Are Oregon's Clark Honors College and UW Honors College well regarded?

I am considering these two schools in place of the mid tier UCs and UCSD. I know UO is not that highly regarded and is an easy school to get into, but what about its Honors College? Is University of Washington's Honors College much better than its regular college?

Please tell me anything you know about these two colleges, especially regarding grad school and job placement.

Thanks!

Anyone? 10 char

Maybe somebody today knows ^_^

I don’t know the answer. But UW is a better school than the mid-UCs and on par with UCSD IMO. So I’d give the edge to UW over UCSD if you get into its Honors college. Seattle has a better job market than SD too.

Thanks for the advice, that’s a good start. Please, more opinions?

Don’t know details, but Ive heard lots of good things about UW Honors

CHC is an incredible, incredible program.

I can’t answer your questions specifically, but my nephew is a junior in the UW Honors program and it has been fabulous for him. He bonded with the other students in the program right away and has been loving college, socially and academically.

Thanks for the information, all of it helps. I’m still interested in many more opinions!

Mind expanding on that thought?

UW Honors is extremely selective, about 200 spots for 2500 applicants.

Small classes, all taught by professors. Look at the averages for people in the program. It basically turns UO into a top LAC for you.

Thanks, bump.

What about WSU honors?

WSU honors doesnt compare to UW and CHC, but it’s still fine nonetheless.

Udub Honors might have housing (I’m not sure), which could be a con because that campus has such a shortage.

One more quick Question on this topic, WWU Honors?

What do you mean? Shortage of what? Why would having honors housing be a “con”? It’s not like you are required to live there.

I fail. I meant to say “pro”, not “con”. Udub has quite a housing shortage - from what I understand, there are many rooms meant for two that have an extra bed crammed in to become triples.

U of Oregon easy to get into? For a non-resident, I think not!

University of Oregon certainly is.

Clark Honors? Not easy, but certainly not out of reach with my stats. I never said it was easy.
