Dartmouth is nice in that I don't have to write anything, but is the peer eval required? I don't think I have enough time to ask someone to write one to me so is it ok not to turn it in or turn it in late?

Also do you guys know any other colleges that require a peer eval especially the top class ones?

All I know now is that Duke and Dartmouth require them

Williams does as well (or at least they used to…)

It’s required, in the same way that an essay is “required”, and two teacher recs are “required”.

It’s part of the application. It’s required. If you don’t do it, your application will be missing a component, but it will still be read (if you pay the application fee). It won’t disqualify you from admission.

UGH,

I was TOTALLY unaware of this requirement; they totally failed to even mention it on the CommonApp! How would one go about submitting a peer review???

HELP

The peer review actually is on the common app, but it’s not very noticeable. If you click on the supplement part for Dartmouth, it says “Peer Review” right underneath (although admittedly, it’s very easy to miss).
If you google “Dartmouth Peer Evaluation” and click on the first link (the one on Dartmouth’s website), you will find information about the Peer Evaluation.
According to other threads on CC in the Dartmouth sub-forum, the deadline for Dartmouth is extended until January 15th. Also, it’s fine if the Peer Evaluation is a little late. You’ll probably just receive an email from Dartmouth later saying that they don’t have your Peer Evaluation.

Point is, now that you know about this, try to get a Peer Evaluation as soon as you can. It’s fine if it’s late as long as it’s not too late. Just get it in.

Duke doesn’t require a peer evaluation or at least I think they don’t…

maybe that’s why I got deferred
