I know that this could be a popular misconception, but are most (or at least a significant number of) people at Princeton snobby and preppy? I never really thought of Princeton that way, but I've heard the above so much in the past few months that it's really affected my view of the university as a whole. Any current students that can say one way or another? Eating clubs seem like the ultimate sign of "snobbery" to me =/.

my bro went there and no ppl are not. Your thinking of Harvard =P
only a few of the eating clubs are snobby

I don't understand why your average Joe has such sizzling contempt for the wealthy and their gross displays of lavishness. They have money, they can waste it however they want to, even if it reflects poorly on their character. That's the way I see it.

People who tell you that Princeton students are snobs are merely jealous and bitter that they lack the credentials to even be considered.

From what I've seen and heard, Princeton students are charismatic, friendly, and good-humored.

You have snobs and jerks at every school, not just Princeton.

I agree with kwu. From what I heard from my Princeton Interviewer, she said that there was a small group of snobby people but then every school has that, no matter where you go. You'll find people of all different aspects wherever you go, whether you like them or not.

I think its just the name "Prince-ton" which gives off that impression of snobbyness.

I don't know why but every time I think of Princeton I associate it with a deep purple color. I actually do that with all my unis. Columbia is pale white, Harvard is bright yellow, and Wharton is red/tan (can't really explain it). Maybe I'm just psycho or something...

Synesthesia

No, Princeton students are not snobby in general - and actually, I can't think of anyone specific either...

When I think of Princeton, I think orange... Harvard, maroon; Yale, blue...

Guys do I have synesthesia?!?!?!
