Are there a lot of concerts in Providence?

<p>Hi, I’m definitely going to apply to Brown this fall and I was wondering: Do big name musicians come to Providence frequently? As a New Yorker I’m kind of spoiled because I can pretty much assume if a band goes on a North American Tour they will be hitting up NYC.</p>

<p>Some examples of past concerts would be appreciated. I’m talking bands like MGMT, Muse, U2, Weezer, etc. Not Disney music crap.</p>

<p>Besides that, you can always go to Boston for concerts, it is an easy train ride.</p>
