are there any colleges..

are there any colleges that dont require english to graduate?

cause its my most hated subjects..

you're gonna have to go abroad for that one, buddy. sorry.

honestly there are so many different types of english classes that there's honestly no reason not to take an english class and not detest the process.

i felt the same way about art history, and still do, but it's the one class subject i've learned the most from.

It should be easy to find a school and a major with only one year of English required. You can handle one year, can't you?

Brown, Wesleyan, Rochester and others have a who-gives-a-crap non-core. There's another active thread with a complete list.

In addition to colleges with no distribution requirements, there are also places where you can place out English requirements by scoring high enough on an AP exam or taking a placement test. My son didn't get high enough grades on his AP English exams, but he passed the English test for prospective engineering students at WUSTL orientation and thus didn't need to take any more.

i never took english in college- i fulfilled that requirement with a spanish lit class; one of my friends fulfilled it with a class on fantasy lit, in other words she got to read things like harry potter.
