Is there any information about lawyers practising in the US whose native tongue is not English? I've heard that law firms are striving for diversity so there should be some non-English speaking (first language) lawyers who've made it.

If your English is solid they’ll take you. They don’t care what number English is so long as you speak it and speak it well. Other language skills can also help, especially if they’re languages useful in business.

There are probably thousands of lawyers who are English as a second-language speakers - including Sonia Sotomayor, one of the Supreme Court justices. She has a memoir out that is really good if you are interested in her story (she did terribly at English until high school).
