You should apply to a few public ivy schools like U of North Carolina, Michigan, and U of Texas. Also apply to some schools with higher acceptance rates like South Carolina, Arizona State, and WVU.
If you are not a US Citizen or permanent resident you will be considered an ‘international’ for many of the schools listed. Some states will consider you in-state because you went to HS within that state, but it is usually based on where your parents live. You should check with your GC and on the web sites of the state flagship(s).

Yeah, money isn’t that big a problem. Probably gonna shell out the big moneys all four years.
I guess I do need to look into more safety colleges.

Can you clarify. Are your parents saying that they’ll pay $40k-60k per year for your college? If not, how much will they pay?
@Darude, what boarding school do you go to that doesn’t have a guidance counselor to tell you that you need safety schools? Shaking my head at this post…
Your scores are wonderful, and I’m sure any of the schools on your current list would be lucky to have you. I just wanted to second what one other person said about UNC, Michigan, and UT Austin-- they are also wonderful, but their acceptance rates are higher.
@mom2collegekids They will pay as much as needed. Money is not an problem.
@TooOld4School That is something I have not thought about! I do need to think about that more… Thank you!
Some schools you could apply to that students with stats like yours have liked (and easily gotten into):
U Rochester (placed first because my son goes there and loves it )
U Miami
Wake Forest
Pittsburgh
You could look at those to see if any appeal to you. I’d apply to more than one - just in case - but you don’t really need four since money is not an issue.
Maybe McGill: they are very stats-oriented, and your chances are excellent there.
Have you missed the Early Action deadline for Tulane? They have a free application, with non-binding Early Action, whereby you’d hear by Thanksgiving and wouldn’t need to worry about additional safeties. You might have missed the deadline; if not, it will be coming up very soon. If they accept you (as I’m almost certain they will), you can breathe. It’s always good to have at least one back-up choice with non-binding Early Action and/or rolling admissions, because it will put your mind at ease instead of having to scramble for additional matches and safeties at the last minute.
@Creekland thank you! I will look into these universities.
I really hope that I can get into one of the reach schools but I also understand that its not always about the top prestigious orgs!
Darude
Yes, some of the auto-admits are also automatic for international students. Check the each college or university website for details. If you can’t find the information for international students, email the admissions offices.
@happymomof1 Alright. Thank you! Will definitely consider all of these inputs!
