<p>Yes those are the topics and yes you only have to pick one. Once you add schools to your list on CommonApp, you’ll be able to view their supplements and see what additional essays they require.</p>

<p>That being said, if a school solely uses CommonApp, the essay topics will only be found on CommonApp whereas if there is a choice between CommonApp and the school’s application on it’s website (eg Princeton), then it’ll be available there as well.</p>
