Are video games considered ECs?

When I ask this question, I’m not talking about simply playing xbox once a day.

Some background:
For the past 5 years, I’ve been the Division Manager of a sponsored “gaming” community. I’m leaving out the name for privacy but if anyone is aware of Optic, it is on the same level. This involved recruiting hundreds of applicants (meeting w them one on one), participating in competitive (paid) gaming, organizing events, and editing videos. I was in charge of a division that had more than 200 members and our website has over 1000~ total. This activity has given me more leadership and real world exp than any of my other activities and I was wondering if I could put it into my activity section or not?
Note: This is a serious pro gaming league w company sponsorships. I was paid.

In this case, yes.

Managing the organization and coordinating the events demonstrates leadership.

Yes, this would also potentially be a good essay topic.

Thanks for the replies. And yes, I am using it in some supplementary essays (:

Video gaming is an EC in any case, at any level. It’s something you spend time doing. In your case, it’s an EC you should mention.

Yes, but I wouldn’t call it gaming. What you’re doing is work. And very cool at that.
