Are you male or female?

The Amish?

Notice that the OP didn’t specify sex or gender.

I equate “male or female” to sex, but unfortunately not everyone sees it that way.

Aren’t sex and gender synonymous?

[Human Sexuality is Complicated… - YouTube](<a href=“Human Sexuality is Complicated... - YouTube”>Human Sexuality is Complicated... - YouTube)

Male: 6.5
Female: 4.5

Added my one to male and split the 3 not sures between each

Not to people who answer “unsure” ;-)

Okay, do you have boy parts or girl parts?

I think I’m going to be a Republican -_-

I wonder if “Are you XX, XY, or other (please specify)?” would be hurtful to someone somewhere. Probably. But is there a way to please everyone?

No. But there’s only two legal options. Male or female.

So it’s illegal to be neither completely male nor completely female?

(I’m just breaking your balls =p)

Most people don’t actually know for certain, do they? I mean, some chromosome…oddities don’t show symptoms. And I think you can have a Y chromosome and be female if you have a condition that suppresses the expression of male hormones?

Weird thread.

No, it’s because we don’t need to be politically correct to please everyone. Imagine how ridiculous if instead of two boxes for male and female, there were a thousand boxes. If someone asks you personally, then yes, you can explain how you feel. But large corporations shouldn’t have to care.

Also, being Republican doesn’t mean you’re automatically a jerk to minorities, but that’s neither here nor there.

What’s wrong with male/female/other?

You could draft dodge with other.

To get back to the point of the thread, female.
IMO, I think most of the parents/adults are female, but more of the students are males.

^^
(Which would indicate to me that there’s something screwed up/arbitrary about who gets drafted.)

I think this site is probably more 50/50 gender-wise than any other site I’ve used.

Also, DOMA would be a joke, “others” couldn’t be legally raped in some states, and there could no longer be the argument that a baby deserves to be with its mother in a divorce if the mother identifies as other.

Okay, someone really needs to explain the difference to me. I’m lost.

Wait, there are state laws that say certain people can’t be raped?

Intersex = you’re actually born with both male and female organs
Genderqueer = identifies as something outside male/female
