It has something to do with penetration. Don’t quote me though.

Well this thread derailed quickly.

I bother to improve my way of describing the world to make my statements likelier to be correct, not to be nice to people.

what could possibly be outside of male or female?

^ You’re a little late.

A hermaphrodite?

Someone who doesn’t conform to male or female behavioral norms and thus doesn’t want to call pronoun malfunction-self either. It’s usually not a physical thing.

If you’re a Republican and not a jerk to minorities, you’re probably in the wrong party. ^_^

If you’re not a sheep and you’re in a political party, you’re probably in the wrong party.

Now…

Male: 5
Female: 3
Other (please be more specific): 3

Male: 6
Female: 3
Other (please be more specific): 3

Identifying outside the male/female dichotomy is rather simple. People identify as bigender (both man and woman), agender (neither man nor woman), genderfluid (man sometimes, woman sometimes), third gender (very complicated to understand), or just genderqueer (a bit more generic for people who don’t feel any other term describes them).

Granted, I’m a cis-female who is very comfortable identifying as strictly female/woman so I can’t speak as to how identifying as these actually feels.

ok then…

Male: 6
Female: 4
Other (please be more specific): 3

male…

i think

This is a really unhelpful thread

What was it supposed to help with? :D

Male: 6
Female: 5
Other (please be more specific): 3

We all kept being surprised by each others actual gender (except me) :)

Would martian fall into male or female

This whole Cis-gendered/genderqueer/labelnonsense is hurting my head.

If you havent guessed yet, I am a male (do i need to mentioned that i have XY chromosomes)

Really, ask by chromosomes.

Chromosomes aren’t everything though. That’s what trans is.

trans=mentally ill
