Arranging visits when list is spread out

I'm trying to figure out a reasonable spring break itinerary. Of course we don't need to visit all these schools -- there is the summer -- but seeing students on campus is helpful. We live in the DC area, and I would be glad to do two small trips, with a stop back home, or a triangle or circle. My son hates long car trips and my driving has been very limited for physical reasons (and he doesn't drive), so for one we would like to do a train or plane and then rent a car. We've already visited McDaniel and Goucher. We live in the DC area.

Schools we are considering:

Ursinus (have friends to stay with)
Clark, WPI (have friends in Boston, and equidistant to west)
Guilford (Family in Durham)
RIT (friends in Rochester)
College of Wooster
Maybe Case Western
Maybe Drew

With S1 we did Lehigh, Vassar, Bard, Skidmore, U of Rochester and never made it to Cornell. But he shared the driving and I was on a medical leave from work. This time I have a major court deadline right after break!

I think visiting when kids are on campus is the way to go. In summer, the campuses are just pretty parks.

It’s a tough call but if your S is a Jr you do have next fall. Alslo, some schools may be starting when your high school has not yet, in August. We were able to visit a couple of colleges this way, last year. Still got to sit in on classes.

Just sent a PM to you. Good luck with your visits!
