I'm majoring in both art history and film studies with an honors in humanities minor but was wondering if in grad school I should also tack on a certificate or even major in archaeology. Would this make me stand out to employers over others or would it not help me all that much? I'm asking especially because I plan on concentrating mostly in modern art or film curation so I'm not sure if archaeology would be too helpful. Thank you.

Sheisstellar,

Wait a sec, let me back you up first. Just for my own clarification: you are working on a dual major of BA in Art History and BA in Film Studies? What year and what GPA? Tell us more about what you’d like to do after college.

Wheaty

My GPA after this semester should be around a 3.6. This is my second semester of college so I’m an upperfreshman/lowersophomore. I’m planning on going into curation. I already talked to one of my professors about this inquiry so it’s all resolved now… onto a new question :)

Sorry, you gotta tell us what the professor said, there may be others interested in the answer (like me!!)

She told me that it was actually practically unrelated and not very helpful unless you’re seeking a profession/concentrating in ancient art studies.
