I plan to apply to

Eugene Lang
Marymount Manhattan
Pace
SUNY Purchase
University of the Arts

My grades over all are AVERAGE. My transcript is full of A's B's and C's. My GPA is a 3.2
I just took my first SAT yesterday so I can't really tell you my score for that (Eugene Lang does not require test scores) but I will be taking it this January.
I'm applying for the Playwrighting program. I've written, directed, produced, and casted 5 of my own full length one act plays and presented them at schools. Some have won awards in competitions and have travelled to many schools to show my school's potential. I have directed and written smaller shows and monologues in the school. I have also directed big plays that weren't my own. I sent my portfolio with proof of everything I've stated and the scripts with pictures and so on. I work in a professional theater company as their stage manager and light technician, I get paid. This is an actual job, not volunteer work.

I dedicated my whole 4 years of high-school doing this, and me, going to an arts high-school has prevented me from any OUTSTANDING EC's. I have taken Musical Theater Classes, been apart of the Chamber Choir, Student Council, Vice President of the GSA and just basically being a student involved in constantly creating shows to be put on at night.

My essays were pretty simple. Nothing too rigid or "academic sounding" I like to sound true. I stuck to myself and wrote about what inspires me.

I have 1287 community service hours

I guess I'm just solely relying on my passion and knowledge in Playwrighting. I'm not sure if it'll transfer through or if it does, if it will be enough for any of these schools. If they admit me to their program, I can BET that I'll be their hardest working student.

I really need any advice I can get. I'm in that super weird "I'm not gonna get anywhere. I'm a failure"

Also***
This might me an advantage or a set-back for me. I write mostly theater of the absurd pieces. I like very classical things. I'm not terribly modern. The cool thing about me is that I like to mix modern day situations with classical wording.

Thanks for any help!
