Art Schools?!

<p>I recently visited NYU, pratt, and parsons and loved all of them; however, I'm looking to study fine arts/ studio art and I felt like I didn't really get enough information about this specific program at any of them... I've heard very mixed things about studio art at NYU- mostly, positive reviews on studio art and negative reviews on steinhardt in general- I would love it if anyone had any insight about this..
Additionally I'm thinking about RISD, School of the Arts Institute of Chicago (which has a seemingly good reputation yet a very high acceptance rate?), Carnegie Melon would be amazing but my grades are thoroughly sub-standard for that school- but hey a girl can dream, maybe somewhere in Cali although I'm not terribly familiar with art schools in that area..
I'm a rising junior and my gpa is a 3.4 currently.. I know, not great, but I go to one of the top private high schools in the country and the academics are incredibly rigorous. Fortunately, I test well and I have taken almost all of the art related courses available to me, which I hope will help me out a bit when applying to art schools. </p>

<p>jkeil911- sorry if I wasn’t specific enough, I was just hoping someone could give me some more information about these art schools as far as the rigor of there programs as well as there reputations.</p>
