<p>That was a VERY interesting article, @prefect! Thanks for sharing it! It definitely explained a lot and went to reiterate my feelings that, most often than not, FA awards are tantamount to merit scholarships - they seem to award them to the most qualified students who also show need. Of course, it’s not always the case, as with recruited athletes or kids with a specific talent who become extremely desirable to a particular school. But it seems in most cases, the students who receive FA awards are those whom the school has deemed deserving, not just in need but in achievement and merit as well.</p>
