As an URM what kind of SAT scores do I need to have a chance at Northwestern or Duke?

Assuming I get a 4.0 GPA this semester and next semester at my community college what kind of scores do I need?
Last time I took the SATs (October 2007), I scored a 1900 overall with a 600 in the CR section, 580 in the Math section and 720 in the Writing section. I didn't take it seriously and instead of studying I just used what I knew and went in focused, but now I have a blue collar attitude and I'm reading the study guide that my mom paid for when I was in HS every day. I think I can bring the math score up alot even though math is hardly my forte.

Would you say a 2100 would be good enough for Duke or Northwestern? I understand its very competitive, but I want to get into the best school that I'm capable of getting into.

Frankly, 2100 would not be high enough. You should strive for at least 2250. In addition, most cc transfer applicants to elite schools have 4.0 or something close to it. You need something to make you stand out (like phenomenal leadership activities, an big state or national award, etc.)
