Exactly, Bosox suck. The Twins will take the WC and the Yankees the PENNANT!!!
My predicitions:
AL MVP: Derek Jeter
AL Cy-Young: Johan Santana
ROY: Papelbon probably, but Liriano deserves it.

although it may be highly unlikely, the Red Sox do have a chanceat winning the Wild Card or even the division. They need to get hot and hope the Yanks start losing

yeah we still have a chance because we play the yankees 4 more times (i think) and we are only 6.5 games behind them. we are 4 games behind for the wild card

I love how the Yankees just buy games.

Yes, they paid major league baseball to throw all these games. I am so sick of this, the Red Sox have just as much money as the Yankees (they charged fans $20 for Red Sox Nation membership cards) they just prefer to line their pockets with it instead of spending it on a winning team.

As a fan, I would rather have my money on tickets and merchandise go to winning games than to making the team owners richer.

Yeah. Yankee haters always point to their heavy payroll...I thought the main goal in baseball was to win the World Series. If you've got the money to get the best players, then by all means, do it.

Anyways, it's good to be on top, laughing at the baseball proletariat. Screw them. Besides, their owners should be making some GOOD USE of all the revenue sharing money we give.

The Yankees are actually operating on a defiicit right now. Most owners would say "FIRESALE" when that happened.

The Yanks spend a crapload of money, but guess who has the second highest payroll in baseball? The Red Sox.

If there was such a thing as a baseball God, neither one of those teams would make it to the playoffs for the next decade just to remind all the sports networks that other teams exist. The hype surrounding this rivalry approaches the level of the Matrix sequels. It's like you can't consider a World Series entertaining unless one of these two teams (along with their jagoff fans) makes it.
That's my baseball rant.

ugh....BOO Mets!!!! haha, jk...more power to them. They completely OWN the NL East....who wants to place bets on when the Braves are gonna be 20 games back? Although tonight was Jeff Francouer night and even though the Braves lost, I got a cool statue that was free. Yay.

About the Yankees......hell, if they wanna spend that much on players to win World Series, they've got their priorities straight in my opinion. And with a line-up like they've got, i'd say it's worth their money. Well worth it.

And I think it's fun when R Sox fans complain about the Yankee's high payroll...their's is only a few million less. Which is not much when you're paying that much.

I thought the main goal of owning a professional sports team was to make money, not inflate the greatest payroll. Or am I wrong?

The fact is the yankees aren't even making money. Have you guys ever played a baseball video game on career mode? And then just kept adding superstars and going farther into debt. Instead of recruiting in the farm system, you basically just skip all those steps and keep solving your problems by buying more players and inflating your payroll more?

Yeah I think steinberner plays too much of those games lol.

That's how most baseball teams do it. Its not our fault the Yankees are the only team that cares about its fans. The money thing would be a legitimate complaint, if only other teams actually spent to (and sometimes over) their limits to give the fans a team to root for instead of holding back money to make themselves richer.
