aww im so happy! me too!

congratulations! and thank you! =)

good jobb everyone!!! I am soo excited for next year! (:

I have a question. If you are not a party animal will you have a terrible time at Howard? I have been told if you don’t like to party then you will be miserable and it has discouraged me from wanting to attend.

Also I’m kind of shy at first meeting…but after that I am def nowhere near shy.
thanks for ur response

My application was submitted on the 9th & all my supplemenatl materials have been received.
My online application still says processing - I think ill be waiting until january because they might be closed. Can someone confirm is they shut down processing applications in late december? : (

I was admitted into Howard and plan on attending Howard for Fall 2011. I’m a girl and I’ll be a freshman. I have a few questions.

1) How are the dorms? Which one would be best for me?

2) Are there any unbearable/stupid rules at Howard? I know that it’s a private school so they may be more strict than other schools.

3) I’ve heard alot of people say that the neighborhood isn’t best… True?

4) I understand that I’m discouraged to bring my car… Is the non-university parking really that crazy that I shouldn’t bring it?

5) My mom is interested in getting me an off-campus apartment… Would that be a bad idea?

im going as well. i’ve been admitted and Howard is my dream schoool>> hopefully a real student can further anser your questions. but i’ve been up there and talk to ALOT of Howard Students so i know a bit.

as a freshman you will most likely like in the quad with a roomate or two. check page 1 of this thread for more detailed info. oh and if you on scholarship then maybe the annex. which is the “nicest” one. but very secluded. they barely socialize.

the only rules are really visitation and stuff like that. weekdays visitor have to be out by 12. 2am on weekends. no overnight. and 2 visitors at a time. i heard ppl sneak people in tho lols.

where are you from? DC is like any other city. can be dangerous. just have to be cool and play your cards right. always be on your toes and dont go out alone at 2am, lols. there are some native that rob howard students but hey, always have someone with you, since you know the circumstances.

Do Not bring your car. freshman cannot park on campus. and lets just say we got a $100 ticket for being 4MINS late back to th car.

an apartment in DC is expensive. then it may be far, so if you late waking up for class, your screwed. i can imagine that would be annoying. plus, everything goes down on campus, ive heard if you dont live on campus you miss ALOT. do you want to miss all of that lovely Howard action freshman yr? NO. Thats a bad idea.

Hey for everyone out there worrying…I didn’t apply early admissions and got my acceptance letter in the mail on December 8th. It came in the regular mail, not fed-exed. I got scholarship information in the mail about 2 weeks ago. I received the Legacy Scholarship and I have a gpa of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale and a SAT score of 1740. Im so excited to go! And look forward to meeting you all(:

I’ve already been accepted to Spelman and another good school but part of me is still wondering about Howard. If I apply in January how soon would I get an admissions response? I don’t want to wait too long for their response when I already got into two good school.

My Stats

 • 3.6 GPA on 4.0 scale
 • 25 act
 • 95/360 class rank
 • national honor society + other clubs and volunteer work

I just wanted to know what my chances are for these schools–some of them are a major stretch but i dont want to regret not trying to apply: Clemson, NC state, Howard Uni., East Carolina, Appalachain State, Chapel Hill, UNC-Charlotte.
My scores: 1190 SAT; 3.0 something High school; 2.8 gpa at community college with 29 credits. (((i messed around my first semester n got a 2.3…but tightned up the second with a 3.0 so i know it will get higher)))…No volunteer work(shame).
i live in nc, african-american,middle class household income

For any of you guys who have not yet found this: [Howard University Class of 2015 Discussions | Facebook](Facebook)

Howard University class of 2015 group =)

when I log in my account in Howard Website ,
It says that :
The application preference : Not Entered
How Can I know what is my application status ?

yeah me too aonog with the “not entered” it says processing. Im assuming they open after the 3rd like most schools

I don’t know ! Because I applied the last week , and it still says not entred ! There is no other indication like “Still processing” or so !! So I’m afraid a little bit ! :(

I have recently been accepted into the University, but I plan on auditioning for the musical theatre program later on in this month. I know plenty about the program, but what I’m not so informed about is the audition process. The information I was given was pretty ambiguous. I was wondering if any of you all could give me some information and/or tips i.e. are other’s allowed to be in the room during your audition, will the acting, singing, and dancing all be separate, what should I wear, etc.?
Thank you so much!
