Ask a Current Penn Freshman!

anything you can tell me about interviews???

... especially if you've applied ED and you live in Philadelphia. A lot of kids I know from outside Philly got their interviews scheduled, but I haven't heard anything from Penn regarding mine. And, if you are a legacy applicant, is the interview a must?

Thanks :)

if you are legacy you have an on campus interview with a legacy person

hey, im applying to penn this yr(senior), and i was wondering what kind of SAT/ACT scores you need to have a chance at penn...in case youre wondering, i'm a straight A student with honors and AP classes, nothing easy, but i hate standardized tests with a passion...

SAT908..you ask the dumbest questions out there....go to penn's website..and find out..

you know, as much as your insight helps, i really rather hear from a penn student...on the website it'll tell me broad ranges, but i dotn know if they are for urm's, legacies, athletes, or the regular students that do not belong to those groups...so why not find out from someone who goes there?

some students were accepted with SAT score of 1200 or 1100
some were rejected with scores of 1400..it's alll depend on the students over all

Could anyone studying at Penn at the moment give me an insight into what really differentiates Penn from other top schools? Ie. its unique selling points... Thanks!

trouble on the Why penn essay ehh?
there are xanga rings. it's more personal than those brochures

yep i'm having such a hard time with it! trying to be original... whats xanga rings?

Would anyone studying at Penn at the moment mind reading my Why Penn essay? It would be really helpful, just let me know if you're willing and I'll email it! Thanks!

i'll help, bro. i'll give my email that can't be linked back to me. green90210green@yahoo.com

edit: i don't go to penn, btw.

Is it easier or harder in terms of classes than you thought? How many hours are you putting in studying a week?

oh and are there cliques between the different schools, especially between wharton and the other schools?

another inquiry for those at penn or not. do any of you have OfftheBeats albums (specifically When Mama's not around)? Actually i just want OTB's gansta's paradise. meep!

guys thanks for offering, that is so nice of you! a few things. do people discriminate against southerners? i've heard its hard to fit in if you aren't jewish...yes/no? is there a heirarchy based upon major? finally, ive seen a lot of shallow comments on here...is this representative of the guys at penn? i'd really appreciate answers to one or all of these questions. thanks!

well if you're talking about shallow comments from the likes of anuvx, ilovepoker, or me (the popular guys at CC! haha) we're not in penn yet and we're just playing around. i'm sure we're all more mature in real life. you could say we're assets to the community!

(hehehe! i said ass!)

It is my understanding the entire student body at penn is made up of jewish sexists.

don't forget that we hate black people too!

(my interview lady said that there used to be racial tension between Jews and African Americans a while ago at Penn).

what bands are most popular at penn?
