<p>In its present form, I do not support affirmative action. Affirmative action should be helping people based on their income and their education (school quality/ location), and it should not be dominated by race. Hundreds of poor white kids in bad areas will not be helped to get into college this year because affirmative action passes them by without a second thought. I think that is not fair, poor white kids and poor Chicano, Asian, black and other groups should all be given the same amount of help. The whole minority thing is overblown and has lost its meaning. </p>
<p>P.S. I am not just an upset white kid who didn't get into my top choice college, I'm saying this as an African-American who thinks the whole thing is crap.</p>

My mom practically worships Rachael Ray and has now incorporated "yum-o" into her vocabulary, which does not make me a happy camper. So I sympathize with you on that one. </p>

<p>Hmm...I like the Christmas season better because there's so much build-up and it's much more exciting, but for the actual day? Probably my birthday...maybe because I love attention. ;)</p>

<p>Well, I play the French horn in our chamber orchestra, the trombone in the jazz band, the mellophone in the marching band, and the trumpet just because I can.</p>
