Do you guys know where i can find the reat sat physics test? I look for it everywhere but cant find it even on cracksat. Furthermore, about the practice tests in Princeton review and Barron, which ones are more similar to the real test? Some say barron’s are harder than PR but i got even higher score on Barron’s. I’m very confused. Hope you guys can give me some advice. Thks for your help!!!
Hello!
This is how I learned the right-hand rule:
Let’s start of with some basic things to start. The right hand only represents POSITIVE charges, fields, etc. While there are certain ways of approaching this for negative charges (electrons primarily), I use my left hand for negative charges/fields and my right for positive.
On either hand, think of your thumb as the velocity (really just the direction the charge is moving in) and all of your fingers pushed together as one (no distance should be between your fingers) represents the field. This is extremely simple to memorize since the velocity of such a minute charge is about as symbolically tiny as your thumb. On the other hand, a huge, seemingly-universal field like that of a magnet generally feels more bulky, like all of your fingers together (size shows this as well).
STEPS:
- Address if the situation requires the right hand (positive) or the left hand (negative).
- Point your thumb in the direction the charge is moving\
- Point your fingers in the direction of the field. If the field is leaving or entering the page, literally orient your fingers to be pushing down or pointing upward AGAINST THE PAGE.
- The force of the charge will then be IN THE DIRECTION YOUR PALM IS FACING
Let me know if you have any questions, etc. Glad to help!
