Did you apply/get accepted anywhere else? What made you choose SPS? I’m currently waiting ANXIOUSLY for March 10. It seriously feels like it’ll never get here, or that I’ll go into a coma on march 9 and just never find out. How did you cope with pre-decision anxiety??
@emro12 I also applied to Lawrenceville and Hotchkiss and got in to both. I chose SPS because they had skiing, and crew as well. I also just got a really good read on it. Everyone lives on campus and it just felt right for me. I feel you, however on the stress! I remember being super, super worried and anxious. The best advice I can give you is to not think about it. watch some tv, get outside, just do something and try not to think of it. Theres nothing that can be done now, so just trust and believe in yourself! I was convinced that I wasn’t going to get in anywhere, but come March 10 I got in everywhere I applied! just try and distract yourself
Did you find revisit days (after being accepted, but before the deposit deadline) experience valuable ?
I applied to six schools and I have no idea how I’ll make a decision if I get into more than one. My first choice seems to change every day, lol
@emro12 I applied to Berkshire School, Loomis Chaffe, Hotchkiss, Deerfield, and SPS. For me SPS was the perfect fit for me. For starters, I play lacrosse very competitively and our coach here is a phenomenal person and knows the game very well. Also, the campus had me hooked since I stepped onto it (I mean, come on, how could you not fall in love with it). When it came time to make the decision, however, it was simply what my heart was telling me to go for. It’s where I saw my future coming together and where I felt I would succeed the most. Trust me, March 10th seems far away but it’ll come before you know it. For now, just focus on doing well in your current school and what you enjoy doing. Instead of worrying about getting to march 10th, try to celebrate finishing the application process (congrats, you made it!) I was very anxious and excited as well, but you’ll get there, trust me
Go with your gut, @emro12 you have to go with the school that loves you back. weigh out the pros and cons of each school, but don’t over-analyze anything too much. the right school will jump out at you when the time comes
@Publisher absolutely. they told me so much more about the schools and my opinions for many things changed. I would definitely suggest, if at all possible, to do a revisit. it is a great way to really see the whole school for what it is.
