So I was reading addforums.com once and saw that someone got into a really good law school under "probationary acceptance". Has anyone else here asked for it? People like me are very risky, so it's understandable that people may not want to pay me, but at least I would like to prove my worth (in ways that my transcript wouldn't show).

Generally people don’t ask for probation - it’s something that is given to a candidate who is borderline (depending on the major).

Why are you risky? People like you?

I’m risky due to my very divergent (but potentially creative) thinking style. This leads to things such as grades that are all over the place and eclectic academic interests (I don’t pursue one thing at one time). It would be almost impossible for others to gauge my ability just by looking at my transcript - even my working habits and intelligence are inconsistent (i have long periods of time where my ADD is so debilitating that I can’t do anything but stare at things and daydream, and then periods of hyperfocus where I’m insanely creative/productive).
